Is my car running to lean??
Today i put a K&N filter in the SLP lid and took the MAF screen out. I never scanned it on this hot of a day either it's about 75-80*. But i used my LS1m off my grand prix an scanned the car. Everything looks pretty good no KR the LFT's are 0 but the O2 is only 805. Then at the top of first i got 1.5* of knock as it shifts to 2nd it goes away till about 5300rpm i get 3.5* of knock. The highest the O2 level gets is 865 that's with the LFT at +9.4 at the top of 2nd around 5700rpm. If it's running to lean could i get an AFC to correct it? I thought the O2 level should be around 880-900.

The stock O2 sensor really aren't a good indicator of a/f ratio.
They are a 'narrow-band' O2 sensor and the further out of the 'narrow-band' they go, the less accurate they are.
FWIW, descreening an MAF can lean the car out a bit. Throw some good gas in the car and see if the KR goes away. If it does then most likley your car could use a tweak.

Well i figured it out the car has 90,000 miles on it, and it's obvious nothing had ever been cleaned. So i took the MAF off an cleaned the inside of it put the screen back in and everything is fine now it's even hotter today then yesterday. No KR 0 LTFT's and the O2's are around 900.
NoGo- I know the O2's aren't wide bands but when you don't have a wide band you can use whenever you want you have to make due with what you have to tune with .
foff667- Well it wasn't just the O2's telling me it was running lean it was also the +9 LTFT's that was kinda indicating it was lean too, oh and the 4* of Knock i was seeing. Combine all that together i was almost positive it was to lean and well i was right lol.
