Im going to Speed Inc Friday for some minor mods on the new Project, Its a 98 Trans Am WS6 with 112000 miles on the clock, mods so far are Hooker catback,Nitto 555Rs, I have Pacesetter Long Tubes/ORY going on from speed inc and I get paid thursday and get my Car warrenty money back which is around $1295, I plan on getting a new timing chain, full valvetrain upgrade and a custom cam. Ill still be on stock LS1 intake and Im looking at upgrading slowly, Im looking at a cam with the specs anywhere between these specs (235-242) I might be spraying 100shot (dry) on this and plan on getting a 3800 Stall sometime in the next month and adding LS6 intake and slowly modding, but just wanted to know if its possible to keep my stock stall with a large cam for a month or so without problems, or I would be willing to downsize the cam a little, im pretty much dead set on putting a cam in on friday.

STALL BEFORE CAM. If possible, LS1 intake before cam as well.

you can but I hope your brakes work well I had a tsp231/237 idling at 1000rpm and it was all you could to hold it still and going into gear felt like the diveshaft was going to fly out

If you are talking about getting a converter a month or so after the cam, just get the converter first. A cam the size you are looking at would suck on the stock converter, both daily driving and performance wise. And if you plan to install it yourself and drive it somewhere to be tuned, good luck, cause you probably won't make it.
