Those who daily drive on Nitto DRs
Do the Nittos handle decently? I mean will they feel any better on the rear than these Kumho Ecsta ASX all season marshmallows I have now? I think I'm going to get the Nittos for the rear and get another new set for the front as well. I'm not sure what for the front, but I'm leaning toward the Yokohama EV 100s.

Sorry to jack your thread but, how do you like the ASX's. I just got them put on there yesterday and it wasnt my choice. Havent really been able to find out much about them online. Just wondering what to expect. DR's arent known for there hndaling because of the soft sidewall, Nitto makes an autocross tire that is pretty much the drag radial with a stiffer sidewall you might want to look into that if you want to do both.

I run em every day on my car.. 315/35/17 Nitto 555R's.. Mine are completely freakin bald and I still dont have any issues with them.. They stick even in the rain. Nitto is by far the best choice for an all around every day drag radial.. The bfg's and M/T's are the best as far as track use goes, but Nittos take the cake as far as street duty goes.

315/35/17 here too. They are a great choice. You don't notice any handling difference, they seem to last fairly well and they certainly improve traction. However, they are not the best choice for the strip. I now have a second set (M/T 275/40/17) which bite way better and hopefully will put me in the 10's soon.

I run 285/40/17 Nitto Drag radials in the rear, and 275/40/17's 555 NT's in the front. I'm also supercharged with a little over 400tq to the rears. I live in miami so we get alot of rain, and i have been daily driving 60 miles round trip everyday and these tires are really good in the rain. I dont notice much of a difference from my old Kumho Z rateds. As far as handling, there is alot more traction in dry conditions, so its less fun then my Z rateds because i can't power slide easily. Overall this is a great tire and i will continue buying them.

I ran them daily in the rear before my posi started to go on the 10-bolt, and now that I have the 12-bolt I am going to put them back. Handles about the same as a good set of street tires. I also have the Yoko EV 100s on the front and they are real nice tires too.

I have 17x11 TTII's all the way around with 315 DR's. They fit perfect with NO hammer or mod. They handle much better than you can imagine. I have hotchkis, koni, g2 etc. They are as good on the front as on the back. I have a low mile 30th T/A and dont put alot of miles on it. When I do drive it I want the best tire for everything. I think the DR is the best tire for a Fbody.

I have 274/40/17 555's in front and 315/35/17 555r's out back and I think they handle great. They seem to be lasting pretty well too. Also I have heard people so don't take them out in the rain, but like others here have states, they seem just fine in the rain to me.

I love my Nitto DRs, handle a hell lot better then my kumhos did. I can take corners alot harder then I ever could on street tires and they kick *** in the rain to. Great tires to street race with and go to the track with. Never had a issue with them "spinning". And even in the rain, I could go WOT at around 30mph and never have a problem with them breaking lose.
