Default need help guys

ok im thinking about buying a 408 stroker kit and a buddy of mine has a 6.0 block. but my question is do you have to clearance the block for the crank, rods, or pistons or do i have to just bore .030 over and put it together i can get a forged rotating 408 for 2,000 and my buddy wants 800 for a long block 6.0 so what do you think guys? do you think this will be a cheaper route than just buying a SLP 402 for 4,000 shipped?
Thanks for the help guys
