Default Pilot beang removal

I heard that LS1's have a freezeplug in the crank and i didnt know how to about removing the pilot bearing. Anyone have any tips? Thanks

I used a slide hammer w/ pilot bearing puller attachment from Autozone. I had to grind down the ears slightly on the attachment to get it to fit through the pilot bearing. You don't need to worry about the freeze plug until you're reinstalling the pilot bearing. Just make sure you stop when the pilot bearing is flush with the crank.

screw the bearing.

I used a bushing that I bought at Pep Boys. 1.95 and you don't have to worry about hitting it when installing the tranny.
