Question Heads And Cam

HEADS AND CAM PACKAGE??? Im looking at a project here but no idea what to go with. it is a daily driver but every thursday at the strip just about. I want it to rumble and get the most horse power and torque i can its an automatic and im going with a yank or coan converter 4000 stall. But i just have no idea what to go with as far as heads and cam. i currently have pacesetter LT ORY air box and loud mouth on it. i run 12.95 with that set up. hit me with some ideas guys. money is not an issue, active duty military uncle sam pays good but i want to keep it fairly cheap.

IMO, you should go with some CNC ported heads for consistency and maximum power. Get the AFR 205s (milled .030") or wait for the AFR 225s in 62 cc chambers. Another great choice would be the stage II TEA heads in either 5.3L or LS6 configuration. Cams? As long as you have all the bolt ons, chose a cam that's at least 230 in duration on the intake and exhaust side, lift around .600 and LSA around 112.

Lots of vendors on the right can put together packages. If you want to do a mail order heads/cam package and mail order tune Thunder Racing is one of the best, but obviously there are many others too.
