Gettin new rubber on the TA ws6
alright, I have the michelin pilot sports and they are about worn out. Took them to a couple of track trips and drove them around alot. I'm now looking at getting new tires, mainly just for the rear. I loved the pilot sports and I have heard a lot about some of these following. I would like to know some opinions about what i should get. The car will be driven somewhat everyday and we don't take that many trips to the track. We have ET Streets and some metal to stick em on for the track. I have a friend who has the KDW's and he likes them, heard about the GSD3's on here and i like those, and then the Yokohoma's i heard about up here. Preciate it.

BFGOODRICH g-force T/A KDW
GOODYEAR Eagle F1 GSD3

I went on the net to buy tires and I ordered the Goodyear F1 GSD3's for all 4 wheels. Well, i went racing last night with the rear tires put on and let me tell you!! Goodyear did an excellent job with these tires...stopped spinning so bad in first and stopped spinning in second gear completely. Goodyear wins with me now and they are cheaper than what i was going to go with.

ZL1,
I'm glad the goodyears worked out for you. I have 'em in stock size on my z28 (245/50/16), and let me tell you.. They are the worst tire. at 30-32 psi, it feels like you're riding on jello. I keep mine at 36/37 (R/F) to get better road feel.
Also, on hard cornering, the sidewalls give way too much.
It's too bad the reviews on tirerack don't list the sizes in the reviews (although they ask for the size when you submit a review). Anyways, it sure sounds like the 40 profile have a stronger sidewall with less give.
