Default Performer RPM Cam

I have been shopping around for different cams and I started looking at the Edelbrock Performer RPM cam. Has anyone used an RPM cam. How'd you like it? How does it idle?

240/246 @ 050
.560/.573 Lift
112 LSA

Advertised is 300/306
Range is said to be 1,500-6,500 RPM
^Taken from summit racing.

I figure it would be a good cam for my RPM manifold and the specs are about what some of you guys have suggested before. I do like the 112 LSA also because of my compression being about 8.5 to 8.7. I also have hooker competition headers, A 750 holley and desirable stock oval port heads on a 454. Its a turbo 400 auto.

If you think there is a better choice could you name a specific cam for my application? Where would this cam actually want to rev up to?
