Thumbs up An NX MAF kit running stock exhaust.

Major props to Nitrous Express for engineering the easiest to install kit ever...and one that makes killer power!

I recently installed the based model kit. Everything in the kit was complete. Nothing, I mean nothing was left out.

Here is everything that comes with the standard MAF kit from Nitrous Express. The optional TPS switch would have eliminated the WOT switch.

A closer view of the components of the kit.

The Nitrous Express 10 lb. bottle hidden in the spare tire well.

View of the nitrous solenoid and relay just behind the battery. I brought the nitrous line up from the back along the passenger side frame rail and through the right side fender. The approach kept the nitrous line away from engine heat and isolated the line from road debris.

View of the fuel solenoid mounted on the shock absorber nut.

View of the nitrous line attached to the passenger side frame rails.

My car is a unique animal. Although I have a Thunder Racing CheaTR cam and AFR 205 heads, I am still running stock exhaust manifolds, cats and SLP dual dual catback. Even with choked up exhaust, my car puts down 395 rwhp and 376 rwtq. But once I added the NX MAF kit, the hp and torque rose a great deal, even though the 100% factory closed exhaust. The following dyno sheet is with the NX 100 hp jets and only 900psi bottle pressure (don't have a bottle heater yet). Basically it shows a worse case scenario for the kit: Low bottle pressure and choked up exhaust. Even with that, I still gained 99 rwhp and 134 lb. ft. of torque. Imagine how much power I'd make with long tubes, no cats, a cutout and 1100 psi. The NX MAF kit delivers every bit of HP it promises. Track times coming soon!

The dip in power and torque on nitrous shows a slipping stock clutch. Doh!

Sorry bud but thats not a slipping stock clutch at that dip...Thats an ignition problem or dyno pickup error....

The pickup was directly to the coil wire, not the plug wire, so I don't suspect a pickup problem. If it's an ignition problem, what do you think it could be? Coil related? Plug related? I was running TR6ix plugs gapped .038" that were brand new. Stock 2000 model coil packs.
