I want to flush my trans on my 99 C5.
What does a typical trans flush/filter service cost using stock dextron3 trans fluid?

The local "lube only" place, can't remember name, LOL, has on their sign 79.99 for a tranny flush. Doesn't say if a filter change is included, though. At least that gives you a starting point. I've heard good and bad about flushes. No opinion either way.

After talking to a few transmission builders I have heard a LOT of bad things about tranny flushes. Just going to do the fluid/filter service. (No flush)

My dad just came over to me this morning and handed me a coupon for a tranny flush at a Goodyear place and was rambling on for a minute telling me how much I 'NEED' to have it done on my Z28. I was thinkin...do I want some "guy" touching my baby... and for some reason calling it a transimission flush sounds like some unpleasant dental procedure... so thanx for reaffirming my intial thoughts, lol
