Default T56 Transmission

My trans just went out and I am going to buy a new one. (95 Z28 manual trans) I wanted to know if anyone could help me with finding a good place to buy. I called Keisler and here are the specs.
TREMEC T56 6-Speed Overdrive transmission (475HP) for '93-'97 Camaro & Firebird applications. BRAND NEW; BEST PRICE GUARANTEE. OEM direct replacement with upgrades: steel shift forks, carbon fiber pads, and improved synchronizers. IMPORTANT: This unit uses the rear shift position. $1,995.00. I think on this one 400ftlbs 3 MONTH WARRENTY
D&D performance specs.
BA7 LT-1 F-Car(94-97) 500 lb-ft 2.66 Close Ratio(b) $2049

My car made ~670 ft. lbs. of torque on a stock T56 with no issues. That dyno run was 2 1/2 years ago. I'm just now getting to the point where I need a new synchro for 2nd gear. I would just get a junkyard tranny in good working order. You could save about $1300 that way.
