any of the various 224/224 114 or 112 are fairly good DD's

it all depends on what you want.. do you want lopey sound? Good top end power? You will wanna replace the pushrods, timing chain, and oil pump along with the cam with that many miles.. along with a good tune. Its not a cheap investment going internal. If you dont have the other external bolt ons, I would get those first. Dont get me wrong, a cam is great, but its hit or miss on how well it responds to your needs.

I have the F11 228/230 114 cam now and love that... good sounding idle, but I doubt I could stand much anything over a 224 for a stop and go 24/7 DD car though.

goodluck man

the tsp 225/225 cam or any 224/224 cams are totally streetable.

Car has bolt on mods:
FLP headers, FLP Y pipe, Borla Catback, SLP lid, SLP Smooth bellow, and a good tune (lifetime). So I figured cam would be next. Didn't think I would need to change all that unless going to a huge cam. I am wanting a good sound, a good power. Like to put right around 400-425rwhp. I have right at 375rwhp.

everyone's gonna have a different opinion on cams.. I'd say maybe a 228/228 or even a F11 since I have one LMAO:-P Check out some of the Futural cams, thunder cams, comp cams, and etc out there.. its a candy factory of them.

you definitly will want better springs since the higher lift of the cam and stock springs wont mix to well:-P

if the oil pump quits, then you can guess what will happen... If you timing chain doesnt have alot of slack in it, then its probably fine, but its easy insruance to slap a LS2 one on there. You can see what the others think in here cause this is just my 2 cents

114 will idle better than 112 also... well its easier to tune anyway for good street manners

People have varied opinions on driveability. I have a rather large cam and a medium sized torque converter. It lopes like hell, but it drives very nice to me. Although, some people would consider it undriveable. In a couple months, hopefully, I'm going with a 239/251 on a 106. That should put it in a realm of undriveability, but not for me!

Grand Am cam? Holy ****... Is it really going to be that big of a gain over the G5X2?
