Default TEA head owners come in

I am considering buying a set of theese heads and was wondering if you could share with your your opinion and results of theese heads. Please tell me what stage you bought, and was their service, quality, what kind of power did you make, are you satisfied, etc. I am trying to decide whether to stick with stock or buy some heads now.
Thanks Much,
Chris

I bought there bare casting AFR's with the 2.5 Judson program ran on them. Customer service was great and the end product looked superb. They took a little longer to get here than expected, but there was a misshap on which exaust port I wanted. Things happen and I'm glad I went with them. Going to dyno tune soon.....

Very pleased here. Stage 1.5v2 5.3's. Was shown the shop when I went up to have the install done and can't be any more pleased with thier service. Brent even took his own time after work and went with me to another dyno to tune for me so I could get it all done while I was up there for a couple of days.

Those heads plus air lid, MTI G1 cam, Kooks headers, ORY, and SLP 2OTL helped me put down 401hp and 384tq.

I bought the 1.5 5.3L heads. Not directly from them [TEA], but NIB from the classifieds on this site ($1200 brand new- couldn't pass them up). Brian from TEA had called me on a Saturday and spent a good 20 minutes on the phone with me, telling me the virtues of their lower priced 1.5's - he could have talked me into some higher priced 2.5 ls6 heads if he wanted to- (therefore I felt bad for not buying from them directly, but I could not pass up the advertised offer). They yielded 425 rwhp with a stock ls6 intake and 460rwhp with a 90/90 and HVMC LT's. That's kick *** performance if you ask me. You can't go wrong with TEA.

I have installed several sets of TEA heads on my own car since they first started doing LS1 stuff. I kept upgrading as their programs improved. I have also installed several sets on other people's cars. They are very good people and their heads are among the very best in the business. I currently have a set of 6.0 stage III heads on my 402 and it makes well over 500rwhp with a mild cam and runs 10's at a 3600+lb raceweight NA.

I think i got one of the first 1.5 TEA's out there LMAO.. Brent worked there then and him and Brian both were top notch guys that would talk to you death. They were glad to help with any question you had and they KEPT you updated also. Thats what I like...

Ive had some valvespring issues and im probbaly gonna get their gold set andnive been talking with the new Brent that works in sales there and they are just as nice now as they were 2 years ago. They still take the time to help and tell ya what to do lol

im more than happy to run there heads... if it matters, my A4 dynoed 399.9 with them and a lil 224 114 cam 2 years ago.. with some dyno tricks and a bigger cam im sure they were good for 420+hp in a A4 which isnt bad for a 1.5 head

There aren't going to be very many complaints about TEA.
They know what it takes to make a business successful and that is what they do. From time to time it can be hard to get them on the phone but that is normal for many shops.
Overall C/S is very good, product is even better and price is very fair. Call them up and you will be ordering a set, that is how good of C/S they have.
One part I did REALLY like is something similar to what South Fl above said. Had a friend who had a mild cam only car and wanted a set of stage 2.5 5.3's and Brent talked him out of it.
Acturally saved him a few hundred dollars. That was a surprise.
Good luck on your head purchase, and give TEA a call.

i recently dyno'ed 415rwhp and 380rwtq with TEA heads (1.5v2)/F14cam/exhaust, on a 2000 LS1 SS with stock ls1 intake, TB, and pulley...i've been told that is pretty good!

TEA 1.5 5.3's w/the "competition" prep here. These are the "old" program heads, shaved .020" yeilding ~11:1 CR on a stock bore/deck. I bet the "new" stuff is mo bad ***.

Heads went 312cfm/268cfm @ .600" on a 3.090" bore on the pipe. .550" #'s were 298/264.... not too shabby for a stock exhaust valve....

Car made 436 rwhp/416 rwtq with a "baby" cam(F11.... baby by today's standards), LS6 intake/bolt on's, through an M6/4.56's on 28" ET Streets(NA).

Can't say enough about TEA's customer service/quality.
If yer interested, see link below for my personal experience.

Stage 3 LS6 heads here with .100 longer valves and solid roller springs. On a failry large cam, 11.5 to 1 compression, and 385 cubes the heads made 522 rwhp on 28 inch slicks with 4.10s and 12 bolt and steel driveshaft, partially tuned etc etc. I think I could have squeeked 540 rwhp from the lil ole 385. Its currently under the knife and in about 5 days the shortblock will be here as a 415 CI motor. Same heads, same cam, 12 to 1 comprssion.

I am happy with my TEA heads!!!

Those are some great lookin cars in your sig. Thanks everyone for the great feedback, there is nothing better than getting a non bias oppinion on a product. Everyones combos are really impressive from the mild to the wild. Did they give you a flow sheet with those stage 3's supercoupe?

Thanks for all the kind responses from our extended TEA Family. Our number one goal is to make a killer product at a killer price and provide the best service before, during and after that sale as we can. This is the most important thing to us and think we do it rather well. I would guess up to 50% of our business is repeat business.
I try my best to take care of everyone. There are a few people on here that have my home number because they can't reach me during the day or on weekends when they are free.
Call me when your ready.
Thanks again Brent
