Default motor noise

I searched and found that it can be normal for my car to have a chatter or that sowing machine sound. but my question is my cam listed in the sig big enough to give this sound or is something wrong.

The noise you hear is more than likely either valve trian chatter or the so called piston slap. I didn't have this intill I had my cam installed, which is smaller than your cam, the place that installed it said LS1s were bad for valve train chatter some more than others, I know mine is pretty load.

Oh yeah... the 231/237 cam is plenty big enough to give you that sewing machine sound. Seems like that's what you got for noise, so that's ok.

These motors are known for sewing machine sound. I had it stock, but had a good amount of miles on the car.
