quick question... i got sent a 700r4 band for my 4l60e problem?

quick question... i got sent a 700r4 band for my 4l60e problem? well with my rebuild kit and kelvar badn for my trans it said 4l60e on the side of hte band.....
on my buddies were doing it says 700r4.. it doesnt' want to go in just right, and when we rebuilt it the first time we didn't notice, and it didn't work, upon tearing the trans back down we noticed 700r4 on the side of this band.. now at first glance i thought well most of the **** in both of the trans is the same.. but then i noticed b/t that one and the stock one it didn't look quite the same length ect.. and the tab thign was bent up where it was hitting on the trans or what not.... kinda fucked up.. i just wanna make sure this is the problem, cuz its already cuased us a lot of unneeded headaches if it is!

hey Listen up a 700r4 band and a 4l60e band are the same....one will fit the other and visa versa.....the tabs are longer or shorter it don't matter....the best band (stock) for this application is a stock 1982-1984 700r4...has more surface area.Tabs can be broken off and still work...you,ve got other problems. Hope this helps...Dave

wait we found this out last nite, apparently, they didn't send us a 700r4 band either.. i dunno what kinda band they sent us.. maybe 200r4 or th400 ro some ****, its definetly different
