I've always used the tan flannel cover from Covercraft. I buy it from a place in California called APA, they've always have great prices on Covercraft covers. If you live in AZ don't plan on the soft tan flannel cover to last more than 3 years, but it sure is easy on the paint. Price should be around $140 to $150.
If someone has had good luck with the cheaper covers on Ebay, please speak up. I'll need a new cover this summer.

Yeah I just got a basic car cover-one from Pep Boys payed 34.95 for it, its a size D and it fits great I think. Well worth it, its very nice. Water Repellent/resistant, its just gray, yeah it doesn't have a Bird or anything on it, but it serves its purpose and works well.

Yeah, hail will damage a car, especially a convertible. Thank god where I live, we don't get that much hail.
Rain messes up a car's appearance (water-spots), but does not damage it.
Some soft covers are very gentle on car's paint on the inside, but don't do much to protect against the sun's harmful rays on the inside...
Yup, I think the most important factor to consider when buying a car cover is its effectiveness of blocking out UV rays. That's what eats up wax and clearcoat, heats up the interior cracking dashes and door panels (check out the cracked door panels thread in the Appearance section for some horror stories), and over-expands leather and vinyl violently so that it, too, wears prematurely and cracks.
A good custom F-body cover from the dealer with GM Stormshield protects against all this including rain (water-repellant). Many others do, too, but many "soft" covers do not. Be careful with this if you live somewhere like me with ALOT of freakin' sun.

i just ordered up a california car cover in the super weave. cost me 368 bucks.
I will tell you this.. i bought a plain jane car cover for my 69 camaro about 3 years ago. But it from Pep boys for like 75 bucks.
I left the car covered through the winter that year. We got quite a bit of snow.
The following spring I undercovered it and the damned cover rubbed on my roof and took the friggin paint off!
I swore I would never do it again. Leave my car out in the winter with a cover.
A friend of mine bought the cali cover and it worked AWESOME in the snow. So.. i just ordered one up.
Expensive? Yes. Is a repaint more expensive? You damned right!
