Default Nitrous not working right??

Ok, the car is a 94 LT1 with bolt-on's and i recently put a NX wet system on it. The car went 13.66@98 mph in the 1/4 all motor. I put the kit on the other night and took the car out for a spin and turned the spray on in second gear. It hit hard at first and then started surging so i let off. Tryed it again in first gear from a 10 roll and put it to the floor and it backfired and then didnt seem like it had any power from a stop even all motor so i changed the plugs again(tr6's) and that solved the no power all motor problem but then i tryed to spray it again and it did the same thing. Now the check engine light is on. What could cause the car to surge on the spray? We tried 2 different bottles thinking that one had lots of air pockets in it but that didnt help. This is only a 100 shot so it shouldnt need a fuel pump. Any ideas you guys might have will be appriciated cause i am stumped

What kind of bottle pressure did you have? Sounds like the pressure was really low and it was loading up on fuel and not getting much nitrous.. Also, go back and check your pills and make sure you didnt get them mixed up and put them in crossed..

What did the plugs look like when you pulled them? Fouled or melted? What fuel pressure and jets are you running? What gap are you running? Are you retarding any timing? Did you pull the line before the selenoid and try to purge the line? Did you see if the selenoids still click when activated? Did you remove the fogger yet to see if the nitrous is making it past the selenoid when the system is activated? Is the fogger pointed towards the throttle body or did it move? Does the engine run rough at all? The backfire could have damaged the MAF sensor. What code is the SES light setting? Hopefully this helps you troubleshoot. If you can answer some of the above questions we might be able to help you fix it and get it running right.

Later

Matt

The plugs looked normal to me, not melted just a little white at the tip. I dont know the fuel pressure, the jets are 52/33 like the book says. The plugs are gapped at .035. I am not pulling any timing with a tune but i think it is pulling it on its own since i have headers and 1.6 rockers with the stock LT1 knock module. We removed the line and purged it, made sure the solinoids "click" and it is spraying into the throttle body. I let the car set for about an hour after it started running rough and threw the code and now it runs fine and the check engine light went off, I never got a chance to read the code when it was on. Hope this is help to some of you guys out there.

Do you have a fuel pressure safety switch on the system?

David suggested this to you beacuse the LT1 is known for having a week Ignition system. We have tuned many LT1s and I am also a LT1 guy.
In alot of casses problems like this can be a week ingintion system or lack of fuel.

Ok Answer these for me.
Bottle Pressure
How is the bottle positioned
Was the bottle full
Where is the nozzle mounted
What is your air fuel
what does the plugs look like

Well he did end up helping fix the problem. My car has a Vortec elbow on it that is split down the middle and the nozzle is mounted in the rubber boot between the elbow and throttle body. We took the stock boot off of his car since it is not split down the middle and moved the nozzle back a little and that fixed the problem. Thanks for all of the help guys.
