Default 93lt1vs C5 Corvette

so i was driving down San Tomas Expressway today and in my mirror i see this silver C5 vettte with a black conv. So as soon as i see him i dont really want to mess with him just b/c im thinking im gonna get smokked in my lt1...so i guess he sees me and then starts going around cars to get next to me and he does i look over a young guy with a bennie in 80 degree weather and all thee piercing...... so i give a littl jump and go WOT to see what he does...i jump and he stays then he gets next to me again...after about 5 minutes of B.S we finally come to a red light next to each other....I didnt stall my car out ..well i did but not really at all light turns green we slowly roll....to see if he was gonna race he hits it..jumps about a car on me and then as i go into 2nd gear i pull him about a car or so....through 3rd gear i am ahed of him about a car and he then lets off......now i know my fridn told me this that no one was going to believe me about this kill but it was a true story i was very surprised at how the outcome was...but happy

I believe you man, and im happy you had fun dude, just watch out for more flamming, cuz there's a lot of that going on lately in the street kill section with the LT1 issue.

So your maybe 300 at the ground? I could see it happening if there was driver error on the vette's behalf.

1993 LT1 in a Z28...Rated at 275 hp...AT THE ENGINE...

Man, I never realized just how slow C5's were...Rolling start, C5 getting a car length jump on a 300 lb. heavier car that has 50~75 less hp and still gets pulled a car length itself as you go into 2nd gear...

Wow...That's one fast car...

Peace...Gman

Maybe if someone would actually post a believable LT1 kill. Lately there has been a lot of David beat Goliath stories. And I emphasize the word "story". Just once this week I wanted to see a 11 second heads/cam LT1 beating a 12 second bolt-on LS1. The kill sounds right so you can say nice job and move on. But it seems to me all the LT1's lately are practically stock and destroying cars that are a half second quicker and 4 mph faster. Yet we are not supposed to question the outcome.

Anything can happen on the street!! lol, but I always get killed on the street by LS'1s Its at the track where I have beaten a few. Thats because of R/T. I can cut decent lights and 1.8 60's on DR's My roomies 00 SS runs low 13's 13.0 is his best. We have ran twice. I won the first round by killing him off the line (R/T and 60') and edgeing him out on the top end. He got some tires and didn't catch me till past the 1/8th on round two. Street racing is a different thing though...

No car is unbeatable. Not even a LT1. But when someone claims to beat a car that is clearly faster then thiers your going to get people asking questions. That isn't ****. That's human nature.

LT1's are beast out of the hole cause of the low end torque they make I use to smoke LS1's off the line from a red light but after that Woooooshhh they'd fly past me if it was more the 8th mile stretch Damn A4

I know. The point is that they're underrated. Same with the LT1.
