Is head work needed for dual Valve Springs?
Shopping for a cam package, I know that I will get a aggressive cam package that will include dual valve springs.
A friend told me that I would need to get some work done to my stock heads in order to accept the dual spring. Is this so? could I get by with the 918?
This will not be a daily driver but will be driven on the freeway quite often.
Cam choices for the 2001 LS1 are TSP MS3, Torquer 2 or FM-14.
I have the usual mods, LT, ported TB, TCI SSF3500,UD pulley, 9" rearend with 3.70 gears and will be tuned.
I'm looking for 400RWHP, can this combo make that?
BTW: This will be in my project 55 Truck.

No head work is needed for the Dual springs. I have them in my car right now. With a 598/595 lift cam. YOu could prolly get by with the 918's but I dont know how long they would last on the cams you listed. You should be real close to 400hp if you get everything tuned out perfect.

What type of HP do you make with no NOS?
