Default Best gas station?

I was wondering what gas station everyone uses since there are so many different choices out there. Im in kentucky and I see all different types from 91, 92 to 93 octane (premium). Is there a difference in the quality of gas each station has or does it matter? And which ones dont have reformulated gas?

Thanks

Everyone has there preferences. Many Say BP w/ their Ultimate 93 (sometimes if im lucky lol), some say Shell V-Power 93 some say Speedway Super 92 (like myself)and some Citgo 93 (a few times myself) Really i dont feel nor i do see any difference other than Octane, % of Ethanol contained, and marketing. Shell and BP Claim to clean your ful system with some detergents, Speedway and Citgo both attempt to remain most affordable, however they all seem to be relatively similar in all ways. There are write ups on the Web. Just remember DO NOT GO LOWER THAN 91 and youll be fine-doesn't matter where. Everyone has their horror stories.

I normally always go with shell v power, but I use chevron sometimes. My dad used to work for shell and so it just kind of a habit that I support them. Of course Im biased but shell makes some of the best gas, cheveron is good too, from what I have been told.

For what its worth my wife's Tahoe saw a 2.5mpg increase when I had her switch from Costco (don't know who they buy from) to Shell. That tells me that their addative package is better and it burns cleaner with more energy per volume.

well I was recently talking with my dad abou this topic. He has been a chemical engineer for over 20 years. He has also developed many of the additives and detergents that we use today in our gas. He was telling me that there is some rule that allows gas companies to trade between on another. in other words you may be pumping meijer gas at a coastal station. personally, my car sees nothing other than BP.

Sunoco by far. They have the 93 Premium and the 94 Ultra. At some locations you can also find the 100 and 104 Unleaded Racing Fuels. The 100's are a waste of $ unless your bullet is fairly modified.

My Papi also worked with companies aroudn the time he was a Mechanic with these so called additives. He told me its pretty lame, because they are a waste of money, Things like Fuel injector cleaner, and anything that says it will clean your engine/fuel system, and even some Octane boosters...specifically STP stood out. He told me that all it was was a form of oil. Garbage it did absolutely nothing. It was quite interesting hearing some of the things he had told me. He told me not to waste my money when I asked him about it, and so far he has been right about jsut about everything with this car and several others. So I'm gonna take his word on it, Overall they are the same, they do have detergents in some/most, but it doesn't make it better necesarily. Now some things in those detergents will act differently with the motor itself. That's why if you have ONE try to always use that ONE specific Fuel company. For me though I havent seen felt or noticed any differences in performance of MPG w/ BP, Speedway, or Citgo.

DO NOT use SHITGO, the venezuelan government owns Citgo and that commie bastard running the country down there hates Americans. Chavez is a scumbag he and Fidel Castro are buddies.Chavez wants to restrict imports to the US to drive up prices even higher. He is a MF. Do you get the idea that I don't care for him?

chevron, shell, and texaco merged a while back, at least thats what i was told about everythign we were changing at the xpress lube i used to work at, so im guessing its the same gas. i use 76 or bp. citgo is pretty cheap so i go there a lot. ill never go to shell just because the bastards around here that own them all. i feel my car runs the smoothest with bp though, prob all in my head but as long as i think it works better its good right? haha

BP or Shell here.

More important is to never get gas when the tanker truck is there. When they refill the tanks it stirs up all of the crap at the bottom of the tank. You will then pump some of this into your car.
