Default lm-1 configuration

Well I finally hooked my lm-1 up to my EIO but it was always reading around 13 in my a/f histogram while it was reading 14.7 on the lm-1. And before anyone says anything, yes I selected the lm-1 pid in hptuners and I configured the lm-1 analog output.I had configured it with 10:1 reading 1.0 V and 20:1 reading 2.0 V like hptuners said. I decided to try 10:1 as 0 V and 20:1 as 5.0 V because I'd used that before on a different project, and it seemed to give good results. Is that what everyone else is using?

the HPT documentation says to use 10:1 1 volt 20:1 2 volt??? you sure? that's narrowband sampling .... (1 volt total) ...

I've used 0v : 10 and 5v 20 from the get go.....

the sample circuit in the help file:


Sample Wide Band Oxygen Sensor Controller or EGT sensor circuit.
The following circuit shows the connection between the 0- 5v analog output
from an aftermarket wide band controller or EGT sensor (exhasust gas temperature) using the supplied pigtail connector.
Refer to the manufacturer’s documentation on how to connect and configure their device.
The Device can also be a 0-3 volt controller or anywhere in between the 0- 5 volt range.
You want to use the best resolution you can... so 0-5 volt is the best resolution ... the built in LM1 is configured for 0 to 5 volts also... I believe


Predefined Inputs
Wide Band O2 - LM1: result = volts / .5 + 10
Wide Band O2 - TE 2A0: result = volts / .5 + 9
Wide Band O2 - PLX: result = volts / .5 + 10
Wide Band O2 - Autronic MAFM1: result = volts / .25 + 10
Wide Band O2 - AEM: result = volts / .5 + 10
Wide Band O2 - DynoJet: result = volts / .625 + 10
Wide Band O2 - FJO: Internal non-linear map.
Wide Band O2 - Zeitronix: Internal non-linear map.



1 Bar MAP - GM: result = volts / .0533 + 10.354
2 Bar MAP - GM: result = volts / .02517 + 9



Raw Voltage: result = volts / 1 + 0
So for the LM-1 ....
5 volts * 2 + 10 = 20
0 volts * 2 + 10 = 10

So given this... using 1 to 2 volts... and the predefined LM-1 configuration ...

1 volt would yield 1 * 2 + 10 = 12
2 volt would yield 2 * 2 + 10 = 14

since the car will normally run around 14.7:1 (1/2 between 10 and 20) ... using only 1 volt resolution and the defined LM1 configuration would yield around 13:1 (1/2 between 12 and 14) ....

I agree it wouldn't make sense to lower the resolution that much, but I could have sworn it said 1-2 V either on the help file or on the website. But I just looked and it says 0-5 V in the scanner help file. Yeah, I'm dumb. Thanks.
