Where/What Fuel Pump To get? Racetronics?
I currently have the mods in sig and have and NX wet kit. I rarely spray it, and since my cam install I am afraid that the stock fuel pump will not provide enough fuel to spray. I have done a search and it seems the racetronic kit is the way to go. Which pump would you guys recommend and where is the cheapest place to get it? Also how difficult is it to install the racetronics/any other kit you guys recommend? What kind of wiring needed to use the racetronics kit? Is it a true plug and play kit (No real Mods to install)? Thanks.

Is it a true plug and play install? About how long did the swap take. I am planning on cutting up near the hatch area. Where is the best place to purchase the kit?

I got mine from Thunder Racing.
The pump install took me about two hours, and the wiring took little over an hour.
I wouldn't call it a "plug and play" because there isn't much playing to do. It does plug right in though, and the main power wires screws onto the alternator. All it does is provide a constant and high voltage to the pump direct from the alternator, and allows you to plug in a boost-a-pump later on.

Should I get the whole racetronics system for $249 and the wiring and the plug and play harness? Do you still have to run wires up to the engine bay/battery area?

So it ends up being $350 for the whole setup. How much easier does it make the install? How hard is it to just get the walbro 255 pump and install since it is only a little over $100.

So what is the extra $100 wiring haness? thats at the page http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...vid=3&pcid=166 ? Is that for people that purchased the walbro 255 pump seperately? Now that I look at it it looks like all the stuff thats in the $100 harness kit appears to be in the $250 Kit.

i did mine in about 2 hours, but that was the 3rd time i dropped the tank. put the pump in and the car would not keep fuel pressure when the key was shut off. its kind of intermittent right now but it seems as if the check ball might have been freezing up or something. i said F*** IT and left it, just prime the pump before i start it, its a PITA with the policy places have, have to send it to them and have the car be down for a week or two while they anylize it to see if something is wrong and if they think its ok they send it back, i dont think its done by racetronix thats by walbro, i guess its a way for them to save money cause people like me think its a pain in the ***.

Walbro changed their warranty policy because too many people were returning pumps that were good or that had failed due to problems not related to the manufacturing process
Many people do not know how or do not have the tools to properly diagnose a defective pump so they automatically assume the pump is the problem.
Many people take installation short cuts while avoiding system decontamination.
Many people run their tanks dry.
Many people have fuel tanks which let moisture in while their car sits all winter with little or no fuel in the tank.
Although we have seen our fair share of Walbro pump problems the percentage is fairly low relative to the amount of Racetronix pump systems out there (under 1%). This is probably due to the thorough layout of the Racetronix system and the level of detail included in our installation manual. We are sure the number of problems could be reduced further if people were to properly clean their tanks (instead of using the trap door method initially) and would spend more time reading their Racetronix and factory manuals before attempting the installation.
The Racetronix system is the best option and value when it comes to in-tank fuel systems for the F99+ cars.
