Anyone use other then DexronIII in their T56?

Default Anyone use other then DexronIII in their T56?

If so what do you use? Anything for the syncros, specific fluid or just an additive maybe

no I know guys that have used various things in the case. just seeing who has tried what and if their is any concrete preference

The tranny says Dextron 3 ATF...I put mobile 1 Dextron 3 ATF in mine....

when i got mine rebuilt by rockland standard gear the tech told me to only run syncromesh so thats what i run

GM Syncromesh in mine without the friction modifier (there are 2 types). Shifts are awesome and it is very smooth. Even when the fluid is cold it shifts easily.

I'm going to try Redline D4 next.

any opinions on the honda ATF or the Redline D4? I need to fill mine in the next two days,

also how many quarts will fill it?

I started running Honda ATF in my 94 Z28 about 8 years ago and this car is still going strong at 95,000 miles. This was very highly recommended over on the CamaroZ28.com board. I put it in my 01 Z28 as soon as I bought it.

i also run honda ATF.
shift are noticably smoother now.

went from regular dexIII

but i would like to here from people who have been running this fluid for a long time. makes me wonder how it will effect longevity.

I use Syncromesh. Also, I think it was 6 quarts almost to the max.
