Pontiac Firebird 1967-2002 - Wanna look up options on my 81 TA...

Is there someplace I could go where I could put the VIN number in and find out what options came on my car, what color it was, when it was built and where? I have an 81 Trans Am that was originally a turbo car but now has a 350 chevy, is painted dark purple, and has some keystone rims on it. I'd like to find out how this car rolled off the factory. Thanks in advance.

If you don't still have your build sheet, the only thing to do is send your VIN and $35 to Pontiac Historic Services, and they'll send you a bunch of documentation about the car :) http://www.phs-online.com/

What acw said. You can look for the buildsheet in the car. They usually were under the rear seats in the 2nd gen birds.
