Survivability of 4.10s in A4 10bolt?
Considering swapping to 4.10s in my stock reared, soon to be 3800 stalled A4, blasting 200+ shots off the line on MT DR's. I cross the traps at only 5300rpms now, want to pull that up to more around 6800. Think these gears will last? have a girdle cover too.

4:10's are normally a bit much for a4's unless you dont plan on driving this car on the street much...Most people stick with the maximum of 3.73's on a4 cars...If your going to be spraying that much (hopefully not on stock internals) make sure your converter is set up for it...

I am running 4.10s in my stock rearend now. It has around 25 or so track passes and 1500-2000 miles on the new setup now. The 4.10s were in the car for 3 years before the cam, stall, and tranny swap. The car is no longer my daily driver now. I don't know how yours will hold up to the spray.

Sorry, forgot, have a new shortblock going forged and built for spray. I was toggling b/w 3.73 and 4.10's not sure what to do. Need to get my RPMs up as I'm crossing so low, wasting my last 1/8th mile when I can spin the bottom another 1700rpms.
