Replace Spark Plugs Has anyone replaced the spark plugs in a 2002 Camaro LS1?
There's a feeling in me I can't discribe.."why i don't want the dealer to do it".. Has anyone done this at home?

Yes just did it. Buy some NGK tr55s. It't really not that hard, though I have never changed them with factory manifolds.
I think some people get to the #8 cyllinder from the bottom of the car.

If the car is still stock it's kind of a pain in the ***. You'll have to disconnect the air tube on the passanger side to get it out of the way, and possibly the drivers side too. It's also much easier if you take off the passanger side coil packs, that way you can get to #8. I usually use a long handled flex head ratchet, regular 5/8 plug socket, a 3" extension, a little 1" extension, and a 10mm ratcheting or stubby wrench will really help you get the last bolt out of the coil pack rack.

GM Muscle is right - it's not that hard. Just take your time, be patient, and you'll be fine. Trust me - taking off the coil pack to get to #8 made it SO easy. In fact, I'd say that #8 wasn't even the hardest after removing the coil pack. Save your money from the dealer. Like Nike says, "Just Do It."

With or without headers I use ramps...just pull up on the ramps and pluck out number 8 from under the car..the rest you can get from the top...you don't need to take off the coil packs either..I can change a set in about 20-25 minutes..not counting gapping and greasing and anti sieze application time...

Removing 8 with the coil packs still on from the top isn't that hard, Use a swiveling extension on the ratchet and put your knees on the battery. I just did it on my stock 02 for the first time. Took about 2 and a half hours or so and we just took our time with it and took a bunch of breaks.

FLP's are a different story though.

Later models must be different as I could not get #8 plug from the bottom. To much **** in the way. Removed coil packs and got it from the top.
Thats absolutely amazing! I must be really slow....I'm sure longtubes help also. I can see doing the drivers side in 20-25 minutes, but both? You guys must have some long, skinny arms.
