Street Racing & Kill Stories - Integra takes out an 05 GTO!!!

This was last Sat. I was following in my 93 TA. They went from a roll on the highway from about 35. The Integra immediatley got a jump and stayed there. I don't know by how much because I was behind. The GTO had the 6 liter with ram air hood. ( unless he just stuck the hood and decals on the car) They went twice with the same results. I know the guy with the Integra. He says he put a supercharger on it but wouldn't tell me any specifics like boost #'s. I know it is a GSR. I used to smoke him in my LT1 all the time when he had exhaust, header, CAI and I think a tune or chip. But now I got a new toy. :devil:

My question is if I shift good, can I pull a new GTO(with the LS2)? Not worried about the GTO I just want to take out my cocky friend in the Integra. With the 99 TA by the way not the LT1. (No insurance and its parked until it's sold.)

Since I have no specs on the GSR except the supercharger and exhaust I am not going to ask about that one. All I know is the Integra pulled the 05 GTO with 4 guys in it. (It didn't look by much though)

Either way I am going out this weekend with the LS1 and I am gonna get my buddy to bring his camera.

I plan on taking it to the dyno pretty soon, but from what I have seen with similar mods 360-380 RWHP? :confused:

But what about the GTO? How do they do against F-bodys? I can get a pretty good estimate of what I'll do against the Integra if I can get a comparison on a GTO. Keep in mind the GTO had 4 guys sitting in it so around 400 pounds was added on to the driver/car weight. I probably will go from a roll just because I'm not use to launching it. It has an SLP short shifter and it's kinda tricky to shift. M6 newbie here.

Well, considering Charlie has a 460+ rwhp blown cobra and we're talking about a LS1 with headers and cam, I think Chalrie is safe to say he is putting down more power. Course, depends on the cam.

I think with your mods you'd be better than a GTO with the LS2, considering the weight difference. Again, depends on cam.

Specs I believe are 224/224/.586 I think but not to sure. I have to look at the reciept.

which car had the 4 guys in it? if it was the gto and the integra only beat him by alitttle, the gto with just the driver would walk all over that integra. i can really feel the difference when i have 4 people in my gto, plu i weight 215lbs anyway, but i've raced a 2000 z28 and beat him, i also raced a c5 vette, from a dig he got the jump 1/2 a car, by the end of 1st i was at his door, by the end of 2nd i was at his tire pulling, i missed 3rd and lost :emb: had i not missed 3rd i would have taken him :D

if there were 4 guys sitting in my GTO that only weighed 400 pounds all together i would kick all their asses at once...men weigh a little more than a hundred pounds a piece...so a guess of 150 lbs per guy = 600 extra pounds the GTO gets to haul around. thats like challenging a guy to a race and then going and hooking up a U-Haul trailer to your car :bang:

Very possible. Buddy of mine with a GSR, turbo, internal work, and whole bunch of other mods runs high 11's.

I hope you pull great numbers from the dyno, but I don't think you'll see that much HP. I have H/C and all kinds of other goodies. I have stock exhaust manifolds though. My car, N/A dyno'd 383rwhp. Long tubes should put me over 400rwhp!

By 400 I meant plus the driver. The car is always going to have one person so that's not really extra weight. But 400 pounds out of three guys is pretty low, I don't know what I was thinking. :eyes:

They looked pretty skinny though, when they got out the car. :jest:

Yeah I have been looking around everyone's sigs trying to get a rough estimate of what it's puttin down. When I get the motivation I'll take it to get dynoed. I hear hot weather zaps power so I probably goning to wait until fall or at least a cold front. It hot as hell down herrr!!!

A lot of dealers started putting the '05 hoods on some of the later moving '04 model's in an effort to get them to sell.

That jives with what I saw on sat then. 05 GTO's are supposed to put down 13 sec quarters right, so with 4 guys in one that would put them in the mid or high 13's I guess if not higher, and it looked like the Integra put half a car on him. I think I feel confident enough to place a friendly bet. :devil: He is cocky enough to take one. I am going to see if I can get this on camera.

Yumm, turbo..., the only thing about the STS is that someone might steal it from behind the bumper. Just a strange place to put one IMO.

Not trying to be belligerent at all but...
I love this one! I don't really worry about someone stealing my STS because if you spend all your time worrying about it then you're never going to enjoy it. More people wonder what the hell it is over ... hmm... how can I steal it.

On a thread related topic,I'd say that you should be able to keep it close over pulling it. If it was an 04 he raced then the GSR should be fun. If it was the 05, IMO it's going to be dead even.

I have a friend who has a GSR that is tuned to the max. Jackson racing 8#, heads, cams, full exhaust, vtec controller etc. You should walk him no problem. My buddies GSR is quick for what it is, but it won't take an LS1

I was just at the dyno in my home town when I put down my #'s below and a 05 GTO with exhaust and intake only put down 308 to the wheels. I have a crx with a jackson racing supercharger running 12#'s and it moves pretty good. I say you should be able to take out both cars. have fun hunting.

i haven't dynoed mine yet but from what i'm hearing, 05 gto's are puting down 330-345 at the wheels, if the guy only put down 308 with those mods he got a lemon motor because that translate to 362 at the crank.......maybe that guys has an 04 but with those numbers its not an 05 with the LS2 :)

I've owned 2 lt1 f-bodies and by no mean can a stock lt1 pull an 05 GTO. I have an 05 GTO auto and with 700 miles on it 100% stock went a 13.23 @ 106.4 on a 78 degree day. Now I have to believe that once broke in and on a cooler day the car will go 13.00's and probably pick up some mph. I thought the times they had posted in the brocher were BS when I read them , but after taking it to the strip and proving it to myself on the street against ls1 f-bodies I am convinced. I have close to 1,800 miles on the car and will be getting it back to the track on a cool day. I will keep you posted.

1st: we are not being asked the outcome of the Integra in another race minus the 4 people so that IMO is not important.

2nd: the GTO had the 6 litre badging so I say it is a LS2 and not just a hood thrown on a LS1 GTO.

3rd: with the mods you have on your 99' (even without a tune) I am sure your car will walk a LS2 GTO.



That said, you will beat a stock LS2 GTO that is stock so long as you are a good driver and know how to use your M6.

You will kill the Integra even if you have a camera guy in your car and he is the only driver in the Integra and weighs 100 lbs less than you.

You vs a 05 GTO is another story.

I apologize for the misundestanding on my part.

The 99 is tuned. It actually runs a little rich because the last guy said he was planning on running nitrous but he ran out of money. I wonder if I should lean it out a little sometimes.(? for a another section)

I actually raced him in the LT1 from 20 and he walked all over me of course. I didn't even think that was worth mentioning.

That's not my real plate. I'm not that cocky, even if I thought the car was fast. I found a web site where you can pick your state and type what you want on your plate and it comes back with the image, so from there the rest is adobe. Sorry about the sig pic size.

Ya, the goats are sure fat asses. It would be nice to see what kind of times the car would run if they came in weighing the same as the f-bodies.

ok the story about that 05 is this: the first couple runs, he did have 308 to the wheels... was pretty confused and read a post on ls1gto... disconnected the battery and waited 30 minutes... did 2 more pulls and ended up pulling 352 rwhp! a far cry from 308...

Took out the Inregra from a 40 roll. As soon as he honked I immediately pulled ahead and put 2 cars on him until maybe 80 or 90. After that I don't how much more I put on him. I let off at 110. It was a fun race, and he is a cool guy. He had his gf with him and I was by myself. Need to find that GTO with LS2. :devil:

That is what I figured. Good luck with the GTO. I think you have a good chance with it as well, not as good (not nearly), but a good chance.
