Default Any one have a formula for...

Mixing octane. I live in utah and the highest octane I can get at the pump is 91 . My car is currently in PA and I am putting a ati d1 kit in it in the fall and having it tuned at rapid then bringing it out here. I would like to run 93-95 octain. There are a few places that have 100 and 104 unleaded. Is the a formula for how many gallons of 91 mixed with 100 to get me to 93. Any help would be great.

1:1 would give about 95 octane, so just a little more 91 than 100 would give you your 93. Why are you worried about running 93?

The tuner told me to bring him the car with the octane I will be running in utah so it doesnt detonate when I get it out here. 93 octane is at every pump back east so I figured when I get it tuned I'll use 93 there and mix it when I get to utah. What octane do you run in navada? Any problems?

I run 91, and have 20 degrees of timing. No problems at all. Used to have a problem on really hot days at the track before I did the FMIC however. But when I was still on the stock motor and blower, I never had a problem. What's the compression of your motor now with the 6.0l heads?
