Default Anyone Work somewhere with a loading dock?

I am going to try and ship the motor up here in the next week. But from what I have found general costs are north of 400.00 to get a motor from Texas to my door. A little more looking around showed I could save over 200.00 by having it shipped someplace with a loading dock. So I can effectively get the motor here for 232.00 if I can find someplace close with a loading dock.

Does anyone work at a place with a loading dock or have access to a forklift I could have this thing delivered to and then I could swing by and pick it up with the suburban?

I might be able to help out. We have a loading dock and forklift. Who is the carrier you are using for shipment?

I havent put in the order with the shipper yet. I am still waiting for HPE to get it crated. Once it is crated, I'll let you know. Accoring to www.freightquote.com, these guys could take 5+ days to get it here.

I'll sign for it, no problem, I'll have my car on the lift here and we'll slap that baby in my formy. No worries, you'll get a nice, low mileage LS1 out of it.

Check w/ forwardair.com to have it shipped. My 6.0 block only cost like $50-$55 from LA to here. You would have to pick it up in Kent off West Valley.

I had my heads and block shipped with Forward Air from Indiana and it only costed my $67 in shipping the only thing is you have to pick it up in Kent. Great company though can track it on their website throughout the whole shipment!
