Default LS1 3D cad model?

Anyone have a 3D model of an LS1 they want to share? I want to design some Turbo headers for my First Gen Camaro and having a 3D model of the engine would be a big help. I will be designing all the tubing for the headers and down pipe in Cad so there will be less trial and error on the header build. This might be a long shot but its worth asking I guess. LOL

Thanks
Mike

I have never seen a 3D model of any LSx... If you could find the specs/dimensions on one, it wouldn't be any problem to build the model yourself, if you were using Solidworks, Inventor, ProE...

i found that too, but I can't do anything with it. Its not in a format that Pro/E will import.

I'd like it as well. Preferrably in a fourth gen chassis if possible

Hello Chrispy
I called Carl. He did not have a 3D CAD model but a Solidworks Edrawings file.
Oh man I was hoping big time ... for the math data of just the external shape and hard mounting points.

It's an E-Drawings file, not a true SLDPRT file. Sorry to disappoint guys. I thought I had made that clear with one of the questions that was asked. It was posted in another thread on here if you all search you will find it.

I've got that one to the one I have has shorty headers and some accessories on it but it's a E-drawing file. I can't imagine how long it would take to make a full model of one that was completly dimensionly correct. I built a short block(block crank main cap rods pistons) for fun. It has a LSX deep skirt block 6 bolt main but none of the dimensions are correct. I just built it as a assembley and mated the parts so that the crank can spin and the pistions move. I made it transparent most of my friends and car guys at work get a kick out of it. It still took me a hour or more and I just made up the sizes and there are no bolts or any other mounting points in my model.

I have Inventor R11, and can draw up a 3D model if anyone has dimensions... I too am in need of a 3D model since I'm trying to design my own brackets for it.

If anyone finds one, let me know. I'd like to have it! I have inventor 10 full edition at home, and a complete torn down LS1 in my garage with all the parts at my discretion to measure. Problem is I don't have the time to model it right now with school and work I plan on doing it someday when I have some spare time.

I also would very much like to have a 3D CAD file in some usable format (IGS, STP, SAT, X_T, even STL, 3DS ...) for a LS1. Im not trying to steal the design to create my own engine, I only need the exterior of the engine to be able to fit headers and such.
Also the front end of a body would be very helpful. Especially the volume around the engine.
Thank you for any help!

What CADsystem GM used for Camaro latest years? I guess Catia V4... (.MODEL files)
