Default finally ordered my H/C combo

i went with TSP's current specials plus some other necessities

PRC stage 2.5 heads milled .010
Torquer II cam
GM LS6 Intake
March Pulley
LS2 Timing Chain
Ported Oil Pump
SVO 30# Injectors
Pushrods

I'm really considering new lifters at this point - have 83k miles on them. The motor still sounds pretty as can be and has been well maintained but I'll probably go with them considering I already spent a buttload of money on the stuff above. What can another $200 hurt.

If everything gets shipped out to me within the next 2 weeks, I should have dyno numbers & graph up early next month. My PCM is gonna have some real fun trying to find idle on initial startup after this install.

I think you made a good choice with that setup.. Considering its the same stuff that I just got from TSP myself! lol Hopefully, I'll have some numbers pretty soon. And I would recommend buying a set of stock GM LS1 lifters instead of going with aftermarket comp cams or anything like that.

Did you get the 2.5 5.3's? And did TSP tell you that the Piston/Valve clearance would be ok with that cam? Cause I was told that the cam 233/239 Rev2 might not clear after having them milled like I wanted..

Comp Cam 850-16 lifters are cheaper than OEM lifters and better.
You got a nice set up, don't fall short and fork out that last $200 for some new lifters.
Lifters are one of the most important part in a H/C swap. Don't hope they will hold, make sure they will hold. That is the proper way to do it.

Predator-Z...you have a way of talking people into buying stuff although i didn't need much convincing - i knew the lifters should be changed out soon for preventative maintenance...might as well do it while the heads are off - any suggestions on where i can get the lifter cups as well?

I'm sorry, but from my own experience, I learned to do it right once and for all. (Cheaper at the long run)

H/C is not cheap for sure, but the pleasures outweigh any wallet (by far in my case LOL )

Dealership for the lifter cups. (as far as I know)
