Default Changed The Plugs Today Check Out the old ones...

so i finally change the plugs on my car for the first time...and i had a feeling the stock AC Delco Spark Plugs were gona be still in there.... i took out 1357 and all were Bosch Platinums( ) and i took off 2 and 4 and they were Bosch aswell....but then i got to number 6 and it was a stock ac delco so number 8 had to be a ac delco aswell and it sure was...all gapped not even close to each other i got one as high as .70 stock is .60 damn! my car would tick/knock very lightly at idle but i figuired it was the spark plug wires or something but now that i put in the new NGK's there is no more ticking, idles terrific, deeper tone, revs up real nice...i havnt taken it out yet but im sure it drives much better....here is a picture of the plugs notice how gapped they are

Ditto that! Someone got to way to lazy. You buy the car used? or did the dealer do that?

****.....if I wasn't gonna change ALL the plugs I wouldn't change any of them. Some people are morons!!! I have 30k on my car, got it at 25k, so I'd say it's still got the stockers in there. I'll be putting some new NGKs in there as soon as my headers arrive from TSP.

according to dealerships, its not "cost effective" to replace the #8 plug.

Huh? That doesn't make sense. I can't imagine anyone worth listening to would say that. As has been said earlier, change them all or none (unless you're fouling the same one all the time). And changing the plugs on these motors isn't that tough! I remove the coil pack assemblies, and access is pretty good (certainly better than on the LT motors).
