Last night i was driving home, and was going about 35-40 in 4th. I decided to get on it, dropped it into second and right when i did, not only did i take off, i heard an extremely loud CHUNK! I've never heard this before when i've dropped into a lower gear. Was this too much of a drop? What did that noise come from? Immediately i thought i broke my rear end, but it drove fine all the way home, and this morning on my way to work it drove fine, no unusual noises. Am I okay?

35-40 in 2nd gear should be fine. I've dropped to 2nd at 55 and had no problems. dont drop to 2nd at any more than 55 tho
