Looking for a silver CTS-V 04. Please let me know if you have any leads other than autotrader and ebay.

I have seen some nice cars on here for sale but they are all sold. I am in VA.

Thanks.

Those sound nice, I am tring to get a one for mid 30's with a few more miles. I have seen a few sell for 34-36k. I should have given a range in my post.

Thanks for the response. I would prefer to help out a private party to get out of theirs if possible to avoid dealer markup.

Black would be an option if the price was right...

rj,

One thing to consider is Chesrown in Newark, OH can get you the bumper to bumper warranty extended for only $1,000. I know the price of admission is steep at $39-$40K but it could get even steeper if you run out of warranty and blow a rear diff'. I strongly suggest some haggling with Chesrown. I'd bet with the '06's on the horizon, a weak used V market and some hard negotiating you can get a deal you can feel good about.

An '05 Program Car with a 6yr/100K mile warranty is a far better deal at $41,900 than an '04 beater with 30,000 miles and only 20,000 miles left on the warranty at $35,000. The extra dough is worth your piece of mind.

New rear end = $2,500
New transmission = $2,500
New motor = $6,000

Never thought of it that way, the normal 04 comes with a 4/50k correct? Think they would move on the price of the program to get to 40ish? I only want to put 15k down. over 48mths.

Thanks for your input and the new angle. The 05 is still a LS6 and not LS2 correct?

Correct. LS2 is an '06 only deal. There are plenty of aftermarket parts ready to bring you up to the 400rwhp club with an LS6 when your budget allows.

I currently have:

BB Stainless Tri-Y Headers
BB Stainless 3" Exhaust with X-Pipe
LPE CAI
Homemade TB to MAF Pipe
One hell of a Custom Tune from StealthV

I have had a 2002 C5 and a 2002 Z06 before so I know some of the vendors for those parts. Might just do a Maggie and CCW's 505a's cat back and be done with it. I will give the OH guys a call on Monday.

RJ,

Let us know how it goes. You'll be glad you made the call. They can also install performance parts, finance the parts/labor and warranty the work. They're really hard to beat. They're the only reason to be jealous of Ohio though. :jest:

I agree, just gonig from past experience with my Z06. I will wait for all the LS2 issues to get worked out like the Crank Pulley comming out etc.

This GMS crap is hurting used car sales, I can't get a dealer to budge on any used CTS-V's! They all say we have this and that but you might as well get a new for 46k.

I need a private party sale like that black 04 that sold for 34.5k on the classifieds on the cadillac forum.

The one in WI is a GM buy back, just so you know. I have been looking at that one, but not sure I want anything that someone lemoned. It was having rear end problems, from what I understand. But who knows.

I am looking pretty serious now myself, but who knows I might hold off, don't want anything new either. I like buying used, but can't seem to find one that I want for the price that I want, picky picky picky. I want a sunroof to, that seems to be kind of hard but who knows.

There was a Black one for sale on this board for $34k with 13,000 miles on it. I tried to buy it, but my bank was going to rip my head off on the interest rate because I was doing a person to person purchase.

Dealers get you coming and going. They make it nearly impossible to buy anywhere other than from them.

Actually I am running #'s at a dealership now, and see what they say. See how bad they want to rip me off on my Z06 LOL, if it is that bad then I will just keep that and wait.

The funny thing is the sales lady, which is okay, called me back and was asking me what my payoff is and shit. LOL I told her ya right, I am not stupid, you have no reason to know my payoff, if I owe less you going to give me less, or if I owe more are you going to give me more. People and there sales tactics, funny thing is I use to sale cars. O and I highly doubt I buy from them, just wanted to see were I sit on a new one, I drove the black with tan interior, worst color combo if you ask me.

I want a platinum, sunroof. That is all

The advantages of a credit union is it doesn't matter as long as the LTV is low.

All my vehicles are financed through the CU. 4% and they are all deed record loans. This means that the loan is actual a lean against my house, which makes ALL my interest tax deductible. Great way to go!
