Default Dunno if y'all saw the official LS7 engine price yet

https://ls1tech.com/usa/showthread.p...3&page=1&pp=20

$12,995 and that includes everything, even the dry sump and exhaust manifolds.

Apparently full retail is $15k but through SDPC that price is what they will sell them for.

OIf this is WTLW, I apologize.

I wonder how close to a C6R block it really is, and how it compares to the mowtown lite block.

the only thing im dissapointed in is that GM High Tech Performance says that most of the parts are LS7 specific. including the dry sump system.

I just kinda figured that would be the case since it is more or less an entirely brand new engine..........and somewhat specialized.

And the other good new is that Chris Jones at SDPC confirmed that I am #2 on their waiting list for one of these babies

I was to understand it is a c6r block.
It's not....a C6R block has a larger bore.

HUH? In the 5 page thread about the ls7 crate motors they say that the block (c6r) is to be had for less than 2 grand from that motor.

If you have more info for the specs on the c6r block please give em up.
