has any one ever done a chrysler 8 3/4 rear in one of our cars. just wondering because I know they are just as strong as a 9" ford but I hear they are a good bit lighter, like almost 50 pounds lighter. just curious because I know were I can get one reasonable.

With correct location shock mounts, LCA mounts that work for out cars, brake mounts that work with our brakes, and a torque arm mount? Its not exactly just something you can swap in and out

I knew all that would have to be put on sorry for not saying that before was really wondering if axle tube would have to cut down or lengthened to fit right. Thanks for the help.

I've got a lot of experience with 8-3/4 Mopars. They're great rear ends for all but high HP stick shift cars. I had to go do a Dana 60 once I got to 450 HP with a 3600 lb. stick car on slicks. Chrysler put them in all their muscle cars except 440 and Hemi 4 speeds.
