Default My New Power Steering Cooler/Crossover Hose

Here's a pic of my new power steering cooler and replacement crossover hoses. I think this might be the first time this has been done??

By the way, the picture doesn't really show it too well, but the cooler is painted Sebring Silver Metallic and shot with 3 coats of clear.

Thanks, it's on the car now and no leaks

I'll get some pics of the engine bay with braided hoses and so forth as soon as I put the FIPK back on.

Yeah, the 2 power steering lines connect to the bottom of this piece(2 barbed fittings) and the coolant running through it cools the PS fluid.

That looks pretty cool...what brand are the hoses? Are they hard to work with?

The hoses are by Mr. Gasket and are called "GFlex". Same EXACT stuff as CoolFlex and about equal in price too. Easy to work with. As you can see, it bends to a pretty tight radius. I replaced the lower radiator hose with it too and will be doing the heater hoses shortly. The hoses are available in different colors(powdercoated) as are the billet end covers(mine are chromed). I will caution anyone thinking of doing this to use either this brand or to use CoolFlex. I wasted a ton of money on Earl's "Form A Flex" and it is garbage. The hose was not powdercoated or coated at all for that matter and it did not bend to a tight enough radius to use on FBodys. I love their braided hoses and hose ends, but the Form A Flex is terrible.

Thanks for the info, Bryan...I looked at that Gflex stuff at PepBoys and wondered how it would work...looks like I can add yet another thing to the to-do list!

I originally got some of it from PepBoys too, but check out Jegs. The hose end covers are $10.00 less each at Jegs. Considering you need 6 covers to do the crossover and the lower hose it adds up to a nice savings.

Thanks, you think this is original, just wait till I finish my next mod. Let's just say it involves a WHOLE LOT of carbon fiber
