Default nitrogen pushed fuel?

Hey folks,

As some of you know, my plan is to do a methanol/nitrous DP system, with progressive control and a nitrogen push.

I was just thinking.. if I'm going to use a N2 push to drive the nitrous, why not push the fuel too? I could eliminate the fuel pump and associated wiring.

Here's the crazy part.. is there a safe way to make an 1100 PSI fuel system? If so, there would be no need for a separate regulator, and the fuel system would be very simple.

I'm thinking what I'd do is use an a compressed gas bottle for a tank (relabelled "methanol" so people would know). Then push it just like the N2O. Does methanol do anything weird when you put it under this kind of pressure?

I welcome any opinions, but lets try to keep it polite. I'm just thinking out loud, trying to identify the dangers before I begin.

Steve
