Default 408 and heads

I currently have GTP st.2 heads on my stock shortblock with a TR224 cam, however as everyone here understands: I WANT MORE POWER!!! So sometime next year I'm planning to build a 408 with a 200 wet shot. but keep it streetable. Should I just sell these heads, and go with a stage 3 set? or just have these reworked? AFR? I just need to know how much money to start saving for.

i'd go w/ one of the many iron block 402 short blocks out there. you can make great power w/ moderate cams, and keep plenty of low end torque good for comfortable daily driving. plus... bigger cams for a 346 will act more mild when put in big inch motors. i would go w/ just have the heads you have re-worked. but patriot sells great ls6 stage 3 heads for unbeatable prices. i'd look into that. i have an SLP 402 w/ the heads just mentioned. ls-x 90/90 combo. tiny cam, very streatable yet makes great power throughout the entire rpm band

I'd like to make 500+ throught the 12 bolt, I don't drive it everyday, but when I do decide to drive it, I'd like for it not to fall on it's face at every red light.
