gm dealership, i got my pair for 65$ new, they were the black ones, GM parts direct may seem cheaper but they rape you on the shipping, and you dont have to pay shipping through the dealership

Sponsor FredBeans over on the other LS1 dot com site usually sells the OE GM covers pretty reasonably priced, ...
Not sure if any sponsor here sells the OE covers off the shelf in the box or not, ...

Leave the "Corvette" type on it if you enjoy having a laugh or two. I left it on there when I installed the FRC's on my 'bird. It confuses the casual enthusiast, and angers the Corvette people

I thought about getting a pair and leaving the corvette text in there. Afterall, it's a vette motor? Although, does anyone make them ready to put on an F-body (without having to cut and stuff)?

afterthoughts auto sells custom FRCs, but the price is insane.

GM dealership huh? Would they have an SS spoiler too?

You can also get the FRCs from Summit, they list them in their newest catalog (IIRC $39 each) black or red with corvette letters

I bought my car with the FRCs already installed, they came with a Camaro SS emblem over the Corvette text. I thought that was pretty cool.

YOu can buy them from GMPartsDirect for pretty cheap but you're going to pay out the "***" for shipping. That's how they make their money. I get them for less per set, but I have an inside source

By the way, Afterthoughts Auto's price is not insane. If you had ANY clue how much work is involved in converting those stock Vette covers with their pebble like finish to a color matched custom set with a glass like finish, you might appreciate the price a little better. Some people might think paying $800-1000 dollars for a set of stainless headers is insane when you can get headers for $300-500. It's all in what you want. Do you want the best on your car or are you willing to settle for less??? Guess it also depends on your financial situation.

You just don't understand, ...

There's a ton of work that goes into making these things, ..., I don't know about Bryan, but I sure as hell don't make that much money on them by the time your all done adding it all up & the time involved, ...

22.19 each + a whoping $7-8 whole dollars out of my *** for shipping isn't really too bad.
