Default Ported throttle body on an 01'

I have an 01' SS with a lid, long tubes, and ORY. Would a ported throttle body be worthwhile or is this a waste of time & money without a cam &/or heads on the car ? any recommendations on where to have this done ?

Ported Throttle body is always a worthwhile mod imo. You will not only pick up 5-10rwhp, but you will have better throttle response.

Is there any reprogramming needed for this ? I already have a custom tune installed for the headers.

No tuning needed. Ported TB may or may not be worth very much, but every little bit counts it's worth the money for even a few horsepower.

Click the link in my sig and scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see BigE's dyno run before and after . Any of the top TB porters will deliver this type of gain or near it.

Just do it. Its a cheap mod. I sent mine to Cammin BeaSSt. You can do it two ways. One way if you can afford to hang your car up for a couple days is just send him yours. The other way is the way I did it. I bought one off of a guy on Ebay and had it sent directly to Cammin BeaSSt. When you get the ported TB sell yours to soomeone on the board or wherever. That way you dont go without one. Ron charges $75.00 shipped.
