Default lt1 rear into ls1 info

can someone please tell me what exactly needs to be done for an lt1 rear to work in an ls1.

I have my complete ls1 rear-brakes and everything, its just the whole centersection is crap.all the guts are broken.

I have heard that all I have to do is swap the axles and thats it and itll bolt in......somebody please help me out here with the specifics.
thanks

i did mine the other way around-ls1 to an lt1. make sure it has the same abs system i.e. (4 channel or 3 channel) i used the ls1 axles and i had to shave down a little bit of my caliper slides to make it not rub so if u swap axles it should be a bolt and play operation. also make sure u have the same carrier not 100% sure but i think the 3 series have different axles that the 2 series.
