I bought a 2003 2500 Series chevy van with a 6.0L engine and 4L80E trans for my project car. I want to use the ECM, wiring harness and 4L80 trans (so I won't have to get an aftermarket trans computer) but want to go with a 5.7L engine for weight reasons. Will the 6.0L wiring harness and ECU be compatible with the 5.7L motor? If not, what will I have to change out to make it work?
