Default 1994 t/a vs 2004 mach 1

1994 t/a vs 2004 mach 1
First off let me start out by describing the 2 cars

1994 t/a : edelbrock headers, borla catback, 4.10's, ram clutch

My friends 2004 black 5 speed mach 1 : stock

1st race we go from a 20 punch and I instantly start to pull. He misses 2nd and I shutdown as soon as I see him way back. 2nd race from a 55mph punch. I leave it in 3rd. from 55-100 I pulled about a car. I was suprised the old t/a did as good as it did .

if you had it in 2nd at 55mph that would have been a lot worse as you would have got a good jump on him....nice kill and long live the lt1

It didn't make much difference staying in 3rd. The 4.10's spin it up so fast

update

mach 1 vs BONE stock 1995 z28

went from a first gear punch 10-100. DEAD even... in 4th he started to inch just a hair.

just curious. what do Mach 1's have that would make them think they would kill a LT1 F-Body? the mustang has so many variants nowadays i can't keep up with them.

I have no idea, but i did drive the mach 1, i really didn't like it mainly because the clutch and brake pedals are within 2 inches of each other. I went to nail second and i caught the brake pedal with my heel by accident. Other than that it felt okay powerwise. It didn't have the low end torque like the lt1 does so it seemed. Still was a nice car... barked the hell out of 3rd when i shifted

Basically, a naturally-aspirated Cobra motor. 4.6, DOHC, blah, blah, blah...Rated at what...320 hp, I think? Not a lot of low-end torque, but it has some pretty nice top end...don't know if we're talking LS1 top end, but it's pretty quick. I've read about Mach 1's keeping up with LS1's stock for stock, but when my buddy raced a 5-speed Mach 1 in his A4 '01 Z (stock), we pulled on him pretty nicely.

not exactly, it has the cams that the 03-04 cobras has and it has better flowing heads, the same as the 03-04 cobra.. They make a little more power and alot more tq down low then the 01 cobras..

I love taking down cars in that stock z28. It's so great after you race them to pull up and be like this car is BONE stock! lol thanks for the compliments
