Uh oh - I think I screwed myself doing LS6 intake install
OK, I was taking off the old intake, according tot he directions on the LS1HowTo.com site, and it seems that I broke something. I disconnected the brake booster vacuum line from the brake booster. Then, as I was pulling the intake out, it must have caught on what I broke.
I have no digital camera (wife has it in Italy), so I'll describe it. It is a verticle black cylinder, about 2.5" tall, that has an electrical connector plugged into the top of it. It broke off right at the engine block. Where it broke, on the broken part, I can see an orang O-ring seal, a little yellow thing with a circular base and 2 arms that reach up inside the broken part. When the yellow thing is removed (it sildes right out), you can see a little spring loaded gear of some sort. On the part still in the engine block, it looks like there is a small brass or copper filter - but not a screen - more like a thin plate with holes in it.
It looks like it was held to the block with a huge (>1") nut. The break occured just above the nut. There is also another little sensor just to the left of it that is held by a flange and 10mm bolt.
What the heck did I break? Where do I get a new one? How important is it? And, most importantly, how screwed am I?

That makes sense. The small copper/brass plate pops when you press it, and it would press against that yellow part, which would load the spring and force that gear to move. Depending on the pressure, it would move the spring more. I wonder how much they are???
