Default What size is speaker in rear panel>>>>

in T/A (2000) next to rear seat, not speaker in cargo area?

It is a Monsoon system. Appears to be a round 4" to me?

Thanks.

Next to the rear seat? It should be a 6.5 midbass.

At least that's what mine was. 1999 TA with (formerly) monsoon

Just to clarify for future use, the front panels are 6.5", the back seat speakers are 6.5", and the rear hatch speakers are 4".

Aren't the rear passenger and front door speakers actually like 6 3/4 inches? I don't remember if it matters or not because I was able to use the adapters that came with my infinity kappas to fit 6.5 inch speakers

This will tell you what you need to know about sizes and placement in the car.

Interesting that this site refers to the speakers as being 4 ohm while everywhere else I see them as being 2 ohm?

That site is incorrect. First I noticed that it says the Camaro has 6" in the sail panels. We all know they are 6.75" or 6.5S". Next, speakers in the Monsoon system are 2 ohm..... but funny thing.... in my non-monsoon system, my stock speakers said 10 ohms on them.lol

Right. I was dealing with this about 3 weeks ago when I was asking people to measure thier speakers for the resistance. The T/A is a 2 ohm.

I sent a PM to the Admin about it, Just have to wait to see if he changes the info.

No, stock "extended range" speakers on Delco systems often are 10 ohms. They've been doing that since the 80s. My 3rd gen Camaro had 10 ohm speakers with the AM stereo/FM stereo/cassette head unit that was top-of-the-line at the time (at least it wasn't an 8-track) .

To avoid any confusion, I ripped my Monsoon system out of my car and put in some aftermarket stuff
