should i upgrade to vig4000-4400stall?
ok i have a vig3000 now with 4.10s. BTW its a daily driver. Should i kept what i got or go with a bigger stall to complement the gears? I would think going with that big of a stall would mean a rear end upgrade. Anyway i was also thinking about maybe putting the 3.23 gears back in it and go with a 4400 stall to make up for losing the 4.10s. But im not sure if that would work. Any help would be appreciated.

well, thats up to you. I would go 4400 and 4:10's but i like all out performance. I dont think you would have ANY problems with the 3:23's and 4400. In fact that souuds pretty nice....Try it.....
EDIT---Sorry Didnt see the daily driver...go with the 3:23's...

appreciate the advice. Yeah its a daily driver and the more i think about it, i might go with the 4400/3.23 setup. Hate to lose my 4.10s but i think my 60ft should still get quite a bit better even with the 3.23s and 4400. Compared to my 3000/4.10s setup. But right now from about 70mph and up it feels as though it needs a taller gear to pull harder in that range. It does sound like it would be awesome as far as a street strip setup. You can just cruise on the interstate to the track and then just blast off the line when you get there!

Yeah, as much as it may kill you to lose those 4.10s, the 3.23s would still be awesome if you had a 4400. Stalls that high pull like raped apes. Plus the gears would allow you to cruise around as you pleased without eating your gas.
Go for it and let us know how it is.

As far as the rear end goes, it's hard to say. The 10-bolt in our cars is someone of a mystery. Some of them hold up to numerous 11-second runs and tons of abuse, others break from a single launch with a stock Z28 and ET Streets. Plain and simple: Some people's last, some people's don't. There's no real rhyme or reason to why some break and some don't, but you should feel a bit safer knowing that it occurs more often in the M6s as opposed to our autos. I will tell you that adding a stall that large to the 10-bolt is certainly increasing its chances of breaking if you get some good launches out of it and hook up well. It is also going to be putting more strain on your transmission. I'm actually more worried about my tranny because I'm also adding a stall to my car soon. I don't want to have to buy a new one.
But that's the name of the game. If we're willing to mod them, then we have to be willing to break them. Just another reason to buy more new parts then huh? Anyways, just be sure you can afford a new rear or tranny if yours breaks. Just don't be running around from paycheck to paycheck and you'll be okay.
Let us know how that beast of a stall is!

I dont think youll have anything to worry about. If I were you. Hold on to your 4:10's, wait till you get a beater or something to drive everyday, then put your 4:10;s back in. Go ahead and run stickey tires. Then save your $ for a 12bolt. Then you can dead hook your car and run like a raped ape

so if i do the 4400/3.23 setup, do you guys think ill be able to run as fast an e.t. as in my sig. or slower, faster? Current gear/stall setup in sig. How do you think the mph will change? Want to be able to at least still turn 12.6s. I can run that all night right now. Ive ran 12.6@107 four runs back to back!

thanks for reminding me bout that. I forgot bout how much its gonna be slippin during normal acceleration with that tall of a gear. I guess im just gonna deal with my 4.10s and go for the 4400. What kinda time you guys think i can make up in the 1/4 with the 4400 with my current 4.10s?.1 or .2? If i can get it hooked of course!
