rear end going out?

rear end going out? I'm fairly new to ls1s what are some sings that my rear end is going out? since I added headers y pipe and a catback i have noticed like a vibration and I think its coming from the rear end. I it is getting ready to go out what would be a good replacement? its a 98 a4 and im not planning to many mods.

Yes if you plan on keeping the car please do not ask how to beef up the 10 bolt.
you can't it is like shinning ****.

I think you would probably hear some whining if it was your rear. If your really concerned you could pull the rear differential cover and check for signs of wear and a lot of metal shavings, of course expect to find some on the magnetic.

how many miles on your car??
it never hurts to change rear-end fluid.
this vibration noise your describing more like very violent rear-end convulscion?
you might be getting wheel hop now the the added power, and if you have crappy tires that will do it too.

Some good replacement rearends are the strange and moser rearends. They are not cheap though, around $2500. I am not sure how much a stock replacement would be, but they are not too reliable.
