Tranny or converter? I got an 01 Forumula with a PT 4400 and a A4 that is built and has about 20k miles on it. The car use to lock up at 35 mph with little throttle and now it doesnt. It locked up this morning going to work but on the way home it would not lock up at all, it is like it is trying to and drops a 100rpm or so but thats it, nothing like it use to. Sometimes it does not even lock up at all, if the car does this then it usually does not even drop at all, but now it tries to it seems like. Just went on about a 10 mile drive to see if it would lock up and nope same thing. Do yall thing it is the tranny or converter? Sorry if i confused anyone kinda hard to explain!

Anyone every heard anything like this? I heard a misfire could cause the converter not to lock up. The converter was gone through by yank in Feb. and has maybe 3000 miles on it. Any suggestions?

Check your converter lock up clutch. Since the converter used to lock up and now it doesn't. I'm assuming that it locked up even when you had the cam put in. Check the lock up clutch to see if it's bad.
