Experience with Movers Anyone?
Ok, I thought I had posted this earlier, but I cannot find it anywhere.
Anyway, I am charged with helping my parents find movers to move their "house" stuff from Mukilteo to Edmonds in a few weeks. Does anyone have any experiences with any good (or bad - to stay away from) moving companies locally that I should know about?
They have a lot of heavy and antique stuff so I want a good, reliable and trustworthy company if anyone knows of any off hand.
Otherwise I have to randomly start calling places in the phone book and I hate doing that. Any help will be greatly appreicated.
Thanks in advance.

I had big issues with Hanson Bros even though they have been around for a long time.
The truck was too small after coming to the house seeing everything I had
They left the ramp at the old house...not discovered until we got to the new house
Broke the curved spindle on an antique dresser mirror.
Called the owner since it took US 5 hours of helping *them* load and unload, he only charged fuel fees so I wouldn't sue.
Sometimes its hit and miss especially this time of year, they hire a lot of students that need 'summer' jobs. The driver might have been with a company 20 years but the hired help maybe 20 minutes.
Yeah, I'm no help.....

Just me, but I'd have big problems with any "professional" moving company moving MY valuables. I'm just not a trustful guy that way. I work on moving trucks and it always seems like the driver is an ex-con who's partially brain dead. It's kind of a running joke where I work

Most of the L.A. companies hire ex-felons to do the work and I have had about 50/50 luck with them. Hence why I am asking here

There is "Mike the Mover." Don't know anything about the company besides the fact that every moving vehicle is equipped with a cannon and possibly other weapons. I'd say he's good to guard your stuff?

Worst moving experience I ever had. They were 9 hours late... slow as hell, and broke a bunch of my stuff.
